Insurance programs for members of the Angel Capital Association.
The Angel Capital Association (ACA) is North America's professional alliance of angel groups. This fast-growing association brings together many of the 265 angel organizations in the United States and Canada to share best practices, network, and help develop data about the field of angel investing. With over 6,000 accredited investors as Members of the local organizations, ACA has a deep member community that invests in the future companies of tomorrow.
AH&T and Chubb Insurance Group jointly developed an insurance program for the member Angel groups in Spring 2008. This program offers independent policies to each Angel group and its members at discounted rates and preferred terms than would otherwise be available in the marketplace. Basic coverage starts at $350 annual premium for a $500,000 limit of coverage. The core coverages offered in the Program are:
- Outside Directorship Liability
- Professional Liability
The coverage provides Defense Costs and Settlement Payments for personal liability exposures of Angel Investors. Sample loss scenarios include Breach of Contract, Conflict of Interest, Intellectual Property Infringement and Failure to Fund.
A core application for each participating group as well as an Individual application for each Angel requesting coverage are the submission requirements for coverage. These applications are linked below:
